(CNN) -- A U.S. Marine was killed and 14 others were wounded in Afghanistan's Khowst province Thursday when a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed, a statement from the U.S. Central Command said.
"The helicopter was destroyed in the crash, but did not burn. Hostile fire was not involved," the statement said.
Four of the injured were evacuated to Bagram Air Field, the statement said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to Central Command.
The eastern part of Khowst province borders Pakistan.
